Alkagesta attended the International Petroleum and Natural Gas Enterprises Conference (IPEC) 2026 in Zhoushan, linking its participation to the development of its China business and wider petroleum products and biofuels trading activities. In an account published on its website, the company identified marine fuel sourcing and engagement with Chinese counterparties as areas supported by its presence.

The conference took place at the Zhoushan International Conference Center in Zhejiang Province. Alkagesta was represented by Bayram Bayramli, its China Business Developer. The annual event draws participants from the oil, gas and bulk commodity sectors, alongside port operators, bunker suppliers and trading houses, with attendance spanning Asia, the Middle East and Europe, according to the company.

Held under the auspices of the Zhejiang Provincial Government and the China (Zhejiang) Pilot Free Trade Zone, IPEC promotes Zhoushan’s oil and gas industrial chain. Alkagesta described it as the principal promotional platform for that sector locally. Its programme combines senior-level forums and industry presentations with opportunities for business matchmaking and project signings.

Alkagesta highlighted the relevance of Zhoushan’s growing bonded fuel supply base to its activities. It also pointed to the port’s early development of biofuel and methanol bunkering, connecting those developments with the expansion of its Geneva biofuels desk and its chartering function’s involvement in the product tanker market.

The company said direct contact with Chinese refiners, storage operators and bunker suppliers supports its sourcing of marine fuel cargoes for East Asian ports. It presented those relationships as part of its positioning in a bunkering market that it characterised as among the fastest-growing globally.

The account placed the conference visit within that broader commercial effort, rather than detailing an individual cargo movement. It did not identify any concluded supply agreements, tanker fixtures or cargo volumes arising from the event.
